Tanzanites only appear in one location in the world, a four square kilometre area in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. They are a thousand times rarer than diamonds. It is estimated that we will exhaust the worlds supply of tanzanite within two decades, and scientists don’t believe the conditions exist for it anywhere else in the world. It was only discovered in 1967 it is known as the generational gemstone, because we’re amongst the few generations who will have relatively easy access to it, it’s rare, and very likely to get very rare.
